2012 year of possibitties

I have  made zero  resolutions for this year, wait just one, keep the focus in have fun in life.  I don't want to get caught up with lots of resolutions that during the process I will forget and then feel guilty for not complete them even though I usually finish everything that I propose in my life, anyway professionally thinks are excellent and I know they are looking even better this year.  I'm also going to apply to Parsons New School  master degree program in Fashion studies, which I'm beyond excited.  I've been wanting to live in NYC for a long time since when I was a teenager, can't wait to experience living in New York.  But before I'll live in the city I have to finished this year, feeling that is was the best year of my life, it may sound silly but still that's that way I want it to end it, anyway I hoped everyone a glorious year and don't forget to have fun people cause that's what life is all about

Happy to be part of It gets better pledge

A couple weeks ago I found out about the It gets better project on the internet.  I searched the website, looked it and I felt instantly so much joy because this site is teaching the people to respect the diversity and all the people that have been bullied because of her sexual preferences feel better about their preference and don't feel ashamed of it. I encourage all the people that reads this blog, to check it online and pledge to spread the message about freedom and respect.  There is a lot you can do, just letting the people out there know, that is normal to love no matter gender.  As a gay guy is my responsibility to spread this positive project and if we unite, we are going to make a positive impact to a lot  individuals, so get on board and lets spread the love on the internet.

Hearing a prescription for emotional health

On my work I have to meet a lot of people everyday, they come to my office to get treatment of differents physical diseases, but the what I discovered is that they are looking more than to get a drug prescription to get better.  What they are looking is to get heard, every time I talk with a patient they are desperate to tell their story and let their emotions out and take out there big burden.  It does it matter if they don't know me they just want to express their feelings without being judge. compassion and empathy are crucial, while listening to their stories, often they are sad and I thinks that's what is reflected on their bodies, which makes me think why are these people telling their stories even when they don't know me, well maybe the most important question is do they have someone they can share their feelings?, apparently not, which is sad because we need people in our life that we can trust and share our feelings with.  This experience made me realize that I can help people with just hearing them more that I thought, I have the power of healing with my words making them feel heard and love

Race for the cure

Today I walked a total of  3 miles for the Susan G Komen foundation.  There's was a group of people from work that got together for the cause.  I was so impressed by how many people were walking for the same purpose, to find a cure for breast cancer.  It was so beautiful how people were with their coworkers, family members walking or running for a great cause, in these kind of events you can see when people unite for a greater purpose, the power and the energy that everybody can share to make this world better.  I felt a sense of hope while I was watching people, seeing the love on everybody faces.  Everybody has someone that had been through some type of cancer, that changes perspective of life, how you start to see the real importance things in life (people).  This kind of events must happen more often, the answer for evolution is in the unification, how can we affect in positive way others without asking for any rewards, if we come together as one, we can advance in life.
